Common reasons people reach out.
You don't need to have it all figured out before getting in touch. These are some of the experiences clients bring into our work together.
Anxiety & overwhelm
Ongoing worry, a busy mind that won't slow down, trouble sleeping, feeling on edge, racing heart, and tension in the body.
Life transitions
College, career shifts, parenthood, caregiving, divorce, moments when what used to work doesn't anymore.
Cultural & identity work
Bicultural and Asian American experience, intergenerational expectations, breaking the cycle of generational trauma, and finding your own ground.
Trauma & old wounds
Past experiences that still affect how safe you feel, how you relate to others, and how your body responds to old wounds and triggers.
Grief & loss
Feeling the pain of losing a loved one, a relationship, a part of yourself, or the life you expected, and making space for the emotions, and finding your way through that change.
Teens & families
Helping teens understand and express their feelings in healthier ways, while supporting parents to better understand their child's behavior and respond with more openness and awareness.
I'm a California Licensed Psychologist (PSY35151) with a doctorate in clinical psychology. For over a decade, I've worked alongside teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, and the in-between moments of life that don't make it onto a checklist.
My approach is warm, direct, and culturally affirming. I draw from a strength-based, integrative lens, pairing real empathy with the kind of clear goal-setting that helps things actually shift. As a bicultural AAPI / Asian American clinician, I hold particular care for the layered work of identity, family, and belonging.

Grounded in strengths, culturally affirming, and focused on meaningful change.
Therapy with me is collaborative. We'll explore what's going on, set goals that feel meaningful to you, and work on skills between sessions so the changes carry into your everyday life.
Culturally affirming
Your culture, family system, and identity are central to how we understand what you're going through. I understand the unique experience of navigating more than one cultural world, and I offer a culturally sensitive and affirming approach with all clients, with particular care for bicultural and Asian American experiences.
Strength-based & integrative
I take a strengths-based approach, drawing from a range of methods, including CBT, solution-focused therapy, attachment-based work, person-centered therapy, and family systems, tailoring the work to fit your specific needs. Self-compassion is woven throughout our work.
Goal-oriented & warm
Empathy without direction can feel limiting, and direction without warmth can feel disconnected. In our work, we will work together by naming what matters to you and moving towards it.
Couples, individuals, and the families around them.
Over the years, I've worked with people through many seasons of life: couples navigating challenges in their relationship, parents trying to break old patterns, professionals carrying a lot beneath the surface, college students finding their identity away from home, and teens who need a space that feels safe and their own.

A few things people ask.
Do you take my insurance?
I'm in-network with Aetna and Carelon Behavioral Health. For other carriers, you'll be provided with a monthly superbill to submit for insurance reimbursement. Please verify your plan's out-of-network and telehealth coverage with your insurer.
Tell me about Telehealth.
Sessions take place on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform that's accessible via smartphone, tablet, or computer. Phone sessions are also offered as an alternative to video appointments, scheduled in advance.
Where do you see clients?
All sessions are virtual, so I work with clients anywhere in California. That includes the Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Palo Alto, San Jose), Sacramento and Davis, the Central Valley, Greater Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. As long as you're physically located in California during our sessions, we can work together.
How do I know if this is a "good fit"?
The therapeutic relationship should feel supportive, inclusive, and collaborative. Our early sessions allow both of us to assess compatibility. We'll discuss any barriers together, and I'll provide referrals if needed.
How long will the therapy take and how can I get the most out of it?
The timeline varies based on individual circumstances and commitment. Success requires active participation in our sessions in addition to active practice between sessions, as meaningful progress occurs outside therapy too.
Whenever you're ready.
Reaching out can be a meaningful first step. Whether you feel certain about therapy or are still exploring, you're welcome to connect when it feels right for you.
